Proceedings of the Old Students Convention held on Friday the Thirteenth August 1948 (13/08/1948) at the Chemistry Lecture Hall of the University Medical College, Mysore.

Dr. Raghunatha Rao, the most senior old boy of the college present at the meeting was unonimously elected to preside over the convention.
After a short address by the president, explaining the previous unsuccessful attempts to form the old students association of the University Medical College, Mysore he stressed the need for one such and put before the convention that this convention of the old students of the Medical College, Mysore assembled do form a provisional committee, who will frame the necessary constitution of the "University Medical College Old Students Association, Mysore".

The following were duly elected to constitute the provisional committee to go into the framing of the constitution of the Old Students Association, Mysore.

Dr. M.A. Narasimhachar proposed that a registration fee of five be collected from all old students of the college to form the corpus of the funds of this association and he followed it by an immediate payment of the registration fee. By an unanimous consent a large majority of the members present contributed towards the fund. The generous response from the members is a happy beginning for the association. A sum of rupees one hundred and sixty was collected on the spot.
The convention unanimously empowered the secretaries, to act as the treasurer of the association.
The meeting terminated under great joy and cheers on announcement by Dr. G.S. Raghunatha Rao, "That the Old Students' Association of the University Medical College, Mysore" was duly formed today.
