A Sports complex has been envisioned to be constructed JK Grounds. The ambitious proposal consists of a stadium with a well equipped sports track, football and hockey fields, Basketball courts and a Pavilion with indoor games facilities. The delegates and participates at various events hosted as a part of the college functions and associates conventions are to be accommodated in the proposed guest room wing with rooms, equipped with a catering hall. The above proposal intends to cater to the reach extra curricular talent which abounds at the college, and to give the college a distinctions of its own.

A Corpus fund has been envisioned to cater to deserving students with outstanding testimonials to their credit. In addition, the proposed fund would support research and thesis work of the undergraduate and post-graduates. The fund would ensure that money does not become a constraint for the conceptualization and publication of good research that would add to the reputation of the college.

It was in 1942 that Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV had the vision of a medical college that would set standards in medical education. Thus was born Mysore Medical College the mother of all medical colleges in the State. Set amides serene surrounding in the hear of Mysore. This legendary and prestigious insistitution is the oldest in Karnataka. Its imposing architure has seen many an alumnus walk out and reach the pinnacles of glory across the globe in the past 78 years.

The college boasts of illustrious teachers and a student community drawn from all over the country who excel not only in academics but also art and culture.

Silent tributes to the aesthetic sense of our royal dynasty, who created thing of beauty and scientific brilliance. Those regal structure, our college and the attached hospitals included, are still engineering feats incorporating majestic architectural designs, evoking nostalgia.


ACTIVITIES


A well equipped Auditorium with state- of- the- art acoustic and mixing facilities , seating 800 pepoles saw the light of the day thanks to generous contribution of alumni from India and US . in addition to large state with 2 green rooms , the auditorium also has a Millennium Lecture Hall-an alternate venue for smaller gatherings ,2 well-furnished guest rooms and 2 large halls on the first floor . The auditorium is one of the best in this part of the country .

A futuristic CD-library with 13 work stations having the latest computers with high speedInternet access, was possible due to generousity of Dr. Ramachandra N. Moorthy, a Canadian Psychiatrist & proud alumnus .

The ‘jeevannarayanakatte ‘grounds, once the local of the ‘tennis court’ in one corner , with the remainder largely lying waste has now been leveled and converted into an ‘Olympic’ size track and field . the lawn and garden around the auditorium only add to the facelift that the ground is now receiving .

The association has been a vanguard for academic activities , supplementing the teaching Activities of the colleage .apart from a host of Departmental CME programmes , the association hosts annual conventions drawing delegates from all over the globe .The Millenium Convention and International Medical Conference was attended by over 600 delegates . Guest lectures and seminars on various path breaking topics are a regular feature at the auditorium .

Graduation day and freshers’ day , two significant events in a student life , are organized Annually by the association . in addition , other social gathering like Doctors’ Day are also conducted in the auditorium .

Student Cultural and Literary activities have gathered great momentum with the conceptualization of the auditorium and the support extended by the alumni.
